Lawrence Tynes' Super Bowl dream fading fast with Giants
Lawrence Tynes' hopes of another Super Bowl ring are faading fast after New York Giants lost 26-6 at Denver Broncos.
The Giants now face a difficult task to make the play-offs but at least still have matters in their own hands.
Greenock-born Tynes kicked his longest field goal for three years in the match.
He was successful with a 52-yard kick - his longest in a Giants' uniform and the longest since December 2006 when he kicked from the same distance for Kansas City Chiefs against San Diego Chargers.
Tynes' longest career field goal was 53 yards - also against the Chargers - in October 2006.
The Scot kicked the Giants' only points of the game against the Broncos - he also made a 39-yard kick.
