Lawrence Tynes' dream of back-to-back Super Bowl wins is over after the New York Giants crashed out of contention.

Tynes was given a surprise recall for Sunday's Divisional Play-off with Philadelphia Eagles but  the Giants went down 23-11.

The Greenock-born player was restricted to taking kick-offs in only his third appearance of the season.

But there was hope he could go on a repeat last season's heroics when he kicked the Giants to the Super Bowl.
