Glasgow win inter-city battle

Tigers take victory in battle of Scottish East and West
The M8 battle between the Glasgow Tigers and the Edinburgh Wolves was won by the west on Sunday, with the 19-0 victory keeping the Tigers at the top of the pile in the Scottish Conference.
The result of the match at Lochinch virtually guarantees Glasgow the top spot, while Edinburgh must win their remaining two games and rely on the results of other teams going their way to make the playoffs.
A second quarter touchdown gave the Tigers a 6-0 lead heading into the break and it was too much to ask of the tired Wolves defence to prevent the home side scoring again.
Two fourth quarter scores completed the scoring, after a long delay to treat Edinburgh wide receiver Mike Firth, who was taken to hospital after breaking his leg.
