Eason keeps up Claymores' tradition

Eason remembers his time as a Claymore as he prepares for Super Bowl
Pittsburgh Steelers' defensive end Nick Eason will keep the Scottish Claymores' connection alive at Sunday's Super Bowl in Tampa.
It is almost five years since the Claymores were axed but American Eason - who played in Scotland in 2004 - will line up against Arizona Cardinals.
He will be the 11th former Claymore to play in the showpiece game and he wants to follow in the footsteps of Lawrence Tynes who won it with New York Giants last year.
Eason told In The Winning Zone he owes a debt to the Claymores who helped him carve his NFL career.
"It gave me a chance to get back into football shape," he said.
"I spent my first year [with Denver] on injured reserve so I didn’t get much playing experience, and I needed some experience, so I had an opportunity to go play for the Scottish Claymores.
"It was an enjoyable experience and I got to play with some good players.”
