Nick Eason became the seventh former Scottish Claymore to pick up a Super Bowl ring when he helped Pittsburgh Steelers edge Arizona Cardinals 27-23 in Tampa.

The defensive end saw limited action but played his part in a thrilling Super Bowl.

He played with the Claymores in their final season five years ago and believes that playing in Scotland was a crucial part of his development.

His then team Denver Broncos shipped him over to NFL Europe after he had missed his first season due to an Achilles injury.
