Lawrence Tynes endures frustrating start to NFL season with Giants
Scottish kicker Lawrence Tynes has helped New York Giants to a perfect 4-0 start in the NFL but is still struggling to find his rhythm.
Tynes made two out of three field goal attempts in the Giants' 27-16 win at his former team Kansas City Chiefs at the weekend.
He was successful with kicks of 25 yards and 40 yards but missed a 38-yard attempt.
It came just seven days after he missed a 21-yard attempt - the shortest miss by a Giants' kicker since 1981.
The Greenock-born player has changed the mechanics of his kicking this year after missing most of last season.
"It's something I need to fix, for sure," he said, "It bothers me when I let the team down and those are points that should be automatic.
"It hasn't hurt us so far but there are games further down the road where it'll be down to me.
"I have to challenge myself. I'm facing a little bit of adversity and need to work at it. I have to be accountable."
