The Foundation challenges conventional thinking and uses sport as the catalyst for the advancement of education by encouraging positive thinking and transforming aspects of Scottish character to build;

...all of which will encourage more Scots to fulfil their potential and become winners.
The Foundation is supported by some of Scotland’s most energetic and successful business, political and sporting leaders who share a passion to reshape and inspire the way Scotland performs as a nation. The annual budget of The Foundation is in excess of £1m.
The Foundation collaborates with the principal national sporting bodies in Scotland (sportscotland (www.sportscotland.org.uk), National Governing Bodies and the Scottish Institute of Sport (www.sisport.com)), major educational establishments and business in leading a wide range of forward thinking programmes which are designed to institutionalise a ‘Culture of Winning’ in Scotland.
The Foundation is a centre of excellence for the application of new learning and new thinking about leadership and success. The work of The Foundation includes research into the ‘Culture of Winning’ and related international benchmarking studies. The results of this work are then applied to specific success oriented initiatives designed to encourage widespread excellence and achievement in Scotland.
In The Winning Zone is a web site of Winning Scotland Foundation, a company limited by guarantee and is registered in Scotland (Scottish Charity Number SC 03645).6-8 Dewar Place Lane, Edinburgh, EH3 8EF Scotland. Winning Scotland Foundation was previously known as The Scottish Institute of Sport Foundation. This new name better reflects the ambition of the Foundation to create a positive winning attitude throughout Scotland, using sport as the catalyst.
